About BMW Festorics

The BMW CCA Golden Gate Chapter's Festoric event at Laguna Seca Monterey is perhaps the most significant of all our chapter events celebrating the mystique of BMW and our appreciation for our BMW's. By no doubt it is the most attended event of the year. Since its beginnings the Festorics has improved year by year in every one of the aspects by what this event is measured; the beauty of the setting, the hospitality, the efficient organization, the program at Laguna Seca, an enthusiastic audience, the awareness at BMW NA and BMW Performance Center and Driving School, and above all, the elegance, the originality and state of preservation of the precious participating automobiles and their drivers. At the Monterey Festorics one breathes an air of authentic pride, rather than the slightly commercial atmosphere of other events.

It is the focus on design, originality, perfect preservation and the noble spirit that brings us and our most important and beautiful cars together from all over the country - in a true celebration of the history of the BMW automobile.

The Organizing Committee will continue to shape the future of the Festorics as an extraordinary event that the people who love the most beautiful automobiles in the world as well as the most progressive designs of contemporary cars and prototypes will never forget their visit.

Monterey Historic

The Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races Presented by Toyota brings together automotive enthusiasts from around the globe to participate in a living celebration of motorsports. In addition to preserving racing history and commemorating significant drivers and their achievements, the Historic provides attendees a glimpse into the evolution of race cars throughout much of the last century.

As always, the Historics will attract a huge field of more than 400 vintage race cars again this year that will span eight decades, ranging from a 1916 National to a 1980 Porsche 935 IMSA. Every year, Steve Earle has to turn away about as many cars as make the field, it's that popular.

A "Who's Who" of race car drivers, sports enthusiasts and millionaire collectors, such as legendary driver and team owner, Bobby Rahal, celebrated CART driver Danny Sullivan and automotive product manufacturer Vic Edelbrock, Jr., will be participating.

Concorso Italiano

Concorso Italiano's unique format features vehicles of Italian origin, and its atmosphere is one of festive, relaxed enjoyment. The emphasis is on the vehicles on display, conversations between people who love and appreciate them, and elements of Italian style such as fashion, food, music and travel -- all on the beautiful grounds of the Bayonet Black Horse Golf Course at Monterey Bay, Seaside, California. The Bayonet Black Horse facility has incredible panoramic views from high atop the Monterey Bay peninsula from nearly everywhere on the property. It is sure to be a day filled with excitement, focusing on Italian culture and achievements of personalities who possess that special essence known as 'Italian Style.'

Concours d'Elegance

Since 1950 the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance event has grown from a small, casual assembly of spectators and participants into an attraction that is arguably recognized as the premier gathering of its type in the world. The Lodge at Pebble Beach serves as headquarters for this extremely competitive event that attracts just 200 perfectly and lovingly restored cars invited because each represents a specific automotive era and/or significant accomplishment. Entries come from many states and more than a dozen additional countries, including Australia, Hong Kong and Argentina.
